Answering Pro Scooter Questions

I’ve lately been noticing people arriving to this site with different search terms. For example, some are looking for “Madd Gear Pro Scooter Review”. Another person is looking for “60 Bucks Pro Scooter”. Then there has been obvious questions, like “Whats Special About A Pro Scooter?”. In this post I tried to answer to some of these questions in this post. Read on!

Search term: 60 dollar pro scooter

Spending 60 bucks for a Pro Scooter is very reasonable price. Many of the “low-end” Pro Scooters cost about that. If you’ve heard about the Madd Gear Pro Scooter you probably know many consider it as the best pro scooter. However, the price tag for that one is at about 100 bucks. If you are looking for a 60 bucks Pro Scooter that might be too much for you. For $60 I’d recommend getting a Razor Pro Model Scooter.

You can read my review from the above link. But in short it’s very viable and durable pro scooter. Razor is the grandaddy of pro scooters and from them you can only expect excellent quality. For 60 bucks ;)

Search term: Razor pro scooter age recommendation

Razor manufactures pro scooters of various heights. For example, the Ultra Pro Lo model stands at 21 inches. That’s 5 inches less than the regular Ultra Pro model which is 26 inches tall. The Lo model can be maneuvered easily from kids of age 8 upwards.

Entirely another question is that should you let your kid ride the scooter – even if the height is optimal? In my opinion, yes. Just buy helmet and pads for him. If you don’t allow him to do it he might do it anyway. Perhaps with a borrowed & broken scooter. And without protective gear. So my advice is to let him do it!

Search term: What is the difference between razor ultra pro and ultra pro lo?

That’s an excellent question. I can give you an answer based on my own experiences and reading the specs. The difference between is in handlebar height and handlebar width. Let me represent it to you in a chart form:

ModelHandlebar HeightHandlebar Width
Ultra Pro26"18"
Ultra Pro Lo21"14"

In Razor Ultra Pro the handlebar height is 26″ and handlebar width is 18″. In Razor Ultra Pro Lo the handlebar height is 21″ and handlebar width is 14″. It means that Ultra Pro Lo model is smaller. It’s more suitable for kids of age 8 upwards. It’s also good for those who prefer riding lower for whatever reasons. You might like it for comfortability for example. Now that you know the difference you can read further about the scooters here:

Razor Ultra Pro Lo
