Team Razor being the top name at manufacturing pro & stunt scooters made me very excited to get my hands on the Razor Pro Model Scooter. I ordered one from Amazon and the rolling could begin. It was actually so much fun I almost forgot to write a review about it. But then I heard voice: “Hey, write a review. Others want to hear your opinion. Don’t be selfish you slacker!”. It was very persuading. It was time to write.
1. Shipping
You only notice it when it totally sucks. The shipping, yes. Luckily with this Razor Scooter the shipping was a breeze. You just pick it up at Amazon, pay and wait. It took about a week to arrive here – but your mileage may vary. In whole Amazon is very trustworthy e-commerce store and they ship accordingly. If you want it shipped faster you can always pay extra. But I didn’t cause I wasn’t in a hurry. So no problem here!
2. Look and Feel
The Razor Pro Model Scooter is made from aircraft-grade aluminum. Thus it doesn’t weight a lot. On the contrary it’s very easy to carry. The deck is covered with grip tape designed by one of the pro riders in Team Razor. Pretty cool. The wheels are normal size (98mm) urethanes accompanied with ABEC-5 bearings. Again, you could expect very good performance from these. They also advertise the foam grips to be extra thick for palm protection. That’s great since rolling doesn’t come without a cost. And the cost is usually tripping and getting a wound.
How about the feel? First of all I’m 6″ and 210 lbs. Not the tiniest guy in the neighborhood. But for fatass-me the scooter feels sturdy and safe. Not a toy at all. I could only expect heavy performance from it.
3. Performance
It’s called pro scooter. And from pro scooter you could expect serious durability, performance and endurance. Well, as long as I rode with it prior to this review it managed to pass my “pro” tests. I went to the local skate park to test it out. On a side note I didn’t see many scooters there. Thus other people looked me rolling if not angrily but with great curiosity.
So how did it perform? The Razor scooter responded well to my commands and it was smooth to steer. Above all I didn’t have a fear it would go broken. Boy that’s annoying and scary if you ride with a scooter so bad quality you feel it could go broken any time. With Razor scooter there was no problem and no fear. Tricks landed perfectly (mostly grinds and slides) and I think some skater even gave applause.
Here is a video of guys riding the Razor Pro Model Scooter. It’s not captured by me but it shows neat tricks done with this bad boy. Check it out!
4. Other things to consider
I read other people opinions about the two wheeler in Amazon and turned out they praise it as well. There are currently 235 reviews in Amazon about the scooter and the average rating is 4.5/5. Not bad at all!
The pro scooter is designed by those who ride it. And ride it hard. Team Razor professional freestyle riders perform tricks every day with this thing. This should tell something about the durability. If they – the professionals – use it I don’t see why you shouldn’t.
The price is currently about 50 bucks. It’s very reasonable price for a product like this. It’s professional made but professional made doesn’t always have to mean high prices.
5. Pros and Cons
+ Sturdy.
+ Doesn’t fail you.
+ Reasonably prized.
- The instructions might take a minute or two to understand.
6. Conclusion
Razor Pro Model Scooter is a good all-around scooter for riders of beginning and intermediate stage. It probably wont let you down, but also keep in mind there’s slightly upgraded version of this model.
